Autumn Tree | Nail Art Tutorial

Want to know how to create this autumn tree nail look? Follow our 9 step guide below!

The products we used to create this look:

2. Nail Paint – Barry M – Gold Coast
3. Quick Dry Nail Colour – Natural Collection – Mocha
4. 60 Seconds Super Shine – Rimmel London – Rapid Ruby
5. Lasting Finish – Rimmel London – No Tan Lines Here
6. Color Show 60 Seconds – Maybelline – Electric Yellow
7. Nail Polish – Gold Glitter
8. Pointed Drawing Brush
9. Beauty Sponge

Now lets show you how we created this autumn tree nail art!

Autumn tree nail art, Everyday nails, gold nail varnish, pearl nail varnish, easy nail art

STEP 1

First of all it is important to make sure your nails are clean and ready to be painted before we start, so we need to do a little bit of preparation. If you have nail varnish on already, you will need to take it off with some nail varnish remover. After this is done, I usually wash my hands just to ensure my nails are completely clean.

Then it’s time to tidy your nails up a little and to shape them to how you want, using with your file. Also, if you want make your nails appear longer – you can push back your cuticles. If you place your hand in some warm water for a few minutes, it will help soften your skin making it easier for you to do this.

Once you are ready, you should apply a base coat to your nail as this will protect your nails from being stained but also will make applying your nail varnish much smoother. We used the Vitamin Base Coat (1) to do this.

STEP 2

Once your base coat is dry, we can start moving on to the more exciting parts – deciding what colour you want your nails to be! For this look, we decided to paint our nails with the nail varnish in the colour Gold Coast (2) to begin with. We applied 2 coats of the nail varnish as this makes sure the nails are covered well.

We recommend you apply two thin coats rather than one thick one as the thicker the coat, the longer it will take to dry.

STEP 3

Once the nail varnish is dry, it’s time to start creating this autumn tree nail art! The first thing we need to do is paint on the tree trunk and the 2 branches coming out. To do this, we used the pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail varnish in the colour Mocha (3).

STEP 4

Once you are happy with where the trunk and the 2 outer branches are, it’s time to paint on the other 2 branches to finish creating the tree for this autumn tree nail look! To do this, we used the pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail varnish in the colour Mocha (3).

STEP 5

Now the fun begins, it’s time to start adding the colourful leaves! To create the effect we did with the leaves, we used the beauty sponge! We applied a small amount of the nail varnish in the colour Rapid Ruby (4) to the beauty sponge (9).

Before using it on the nail, we did dab it a few times on a piece of paper to ensure there wasn’t too much nail varnish that would be applied. Once happy, we gently dabbed the beauty sponge (9) over the branches on the nail.

STEP 6

Next we need to add some orange leaves! We repeated what we did in the previous step with the beauty sponge (9), but instead used the nail varnish in colour No Tan Lines Here (5).

STEP 7

After adding the orange leaves, it’s time for the yellow leaves! Again, we repeated what we did in step 5 with the beauty sponge (9) but used the nail varnish in the colour Electric Yellow (6).

STEP 8

Now it’s time to add a tiny bit of glitter to the autumn tree. To do this, we again applied a small amount of the glitter (7) nail varnish to the beauty sponge (9) and gently dabbed it over the leaves on this tree.

STEP 9

Now it’s time to add the final touches to this autumn tree nail art! We created a glitter ombre effect on the rest of the nails. To do this, we applied the glitter (7) nail varnish to the beauty sponge (9) and gently dabbed it on the nails. You want to make sure you apply the most glitter at the tips of the nail and make it begin to fade away as it moves up the nail.

* To make it easier, you can paint some of the glitter (7) nail varnish straight on to the tip of the nail to help build it up.

And that’s how we created this autumn tree nail look! It’s a gorgeous nail look for your nails!

This is so pretty! I love this. I’m definitely a neutrals girl and much prefer golds to silvers. This is so perfectly autumnal. I love that this is still quite subtle but you can really see the detail on the tree when you look closely x

I absolutely love this look it’s so gorgeous. I love my nails to be fairly neutral so the main champagne/gold shade is defenitely something I would wear. I love how they have a theme and design on them but it’s not over powering. beautiful job xxx

Thank you! I’m so glad to hear that. It’s such a gorgeous shade the base colour, isn’t it?! I’d definitely wear it on it’s own. I don’t like to create designs that I think would be too overpowering, I like to create ones that people could wear for everyday kind of looks too 🙂

Absolutely fabulous design as always! The beauty sponge is very intriguing and I’d love to have a play around with it. I also really adore the base colour, it’s not your usual gold it’s like a pearlised, creamy version which I think goes perfect with the autumnal theme! I love the added pop of glitter to them aswell, the tree is just adorable, isn’t Autumn the best?!

Thank you so much! Oh yeah, using a beauty sponge can create really cool effects and it makes it a lot easier to create an ombre effect too. You don’t need to use expensive sponges either so it’s great. Yeah! It’s a really interesting and gorgeous colour. I bought this one and the pink one at the same time – when I saw they I had to get them both haha. Autumn is great! I think it’s got to be my favourite, I enjoy snuggling up and having nice warm soup and it’s not *too* cold at that point, haha ❤
