Now lets show you how we created this look!

STEP 1

First of all it is important to make sure your nails are clean and ready to be painted before we start, so we need to do a little bit of preparation. If you have nail polish on already, you will need to take it off with some nail polish remover. After this is done, I usually wash my hands just to just to ensure my nails are completely clean.

Then it’s time to tidy your nails up a little and shape them to how you want them with your file. If you want make your nails appear longer you can push back your cuticles. If you place your hand in some warm water for a few minutes, it will help soften your skin making it easier for you to do this.

Once you are ready, you should apply a base coat to your nail as this will protect your nails from being stained but also will make applying your nail polish much smoother. We used the Vitamin Base Coat (1) to do this.

STEP 2

Once your base coat is dry (this shouldn’t take too long), we can start moving on to the more exciting parts – deciding what colour you want your nails to be! For this look, we decided to go with  the nail polish in the colour, Latte (2) as we felt that it fits in nicely with the autumn theme, but also wouldn’t take the focus away from the fox.

We applied two coats of this to makes sure the nails are covered well. We recommend you apply two thin coats rather than one thick one as the thicker the coat, the longer it will take to dry!

Once the nail polish is dry, the real fun begins – time to start outlining the fox! We decided to have the foxes face on the middle finger. We painted a thin line at a slight curve with the small pointed drawing brush (7) just over halfway up the nail with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3). This meant we knew how big the foxes head was going to be and then added 2 small little cute ears!

STEP 4

After we created the outline, we then painted up to the line on the middle finger with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3) to finish creating the foxes head.

STEP 5

To make sure the foxes face would be dry before we added the features, we decided on creating the outline for the foxes tail next. We painted a thin line using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3) on the ring finger.

STEP 6

After we created the outline, we then filled in the area with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3). How cute is this starting to look?!

STEP 7

It’s now time to create the cute little face area for the fox! We first of all made an outline – we used the long pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail polish in the colour French White (4).

STEP 8

We want to add some facial features, but it’s important to let the white nail polish dry before we move onto this. So, next we added the white tail tip. We used the long pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail polish in the colour French White (4).

After finishing the tail, it’s now the perfect time to add the facial features to the foxes face! We used the dotting tool (10) with the nail polish in the colour Blackjack (5) to create the 2 eyes and the nose.

After we added the facial features onto the foxes face, we decided to put a little bit of gold glitter on the other nails. This adds that little bit extra to the look! We applied some top coat nail polish and then gently applied the gold glitter (6) by using the flat drawing brush (9) on the ring finger, and sprinkled it over the thumb, index and little finger.

And that’s it! It’s a super cute look, that fits in perfectly over this autumn season. It’s also perfect for everyday wear if you want to add that bit of extra detail to your nails with a cute little fox!
