Now lets show you how we created this nail art look!

Rabbit nail art, Easter nail art, Spring nail art, base coat nail varnish

STEP 1

First of all it is important to make sure your nails are clean and ready to be painted before we start, so we need to do a little bit of preparation. If you have nail varnish on already, you will need to take it off with some nail varnish remover. After this is done, I usually wash my hands just to ensure my nails are completely clean.

Then it’s time to tidy your nails up a little and to shape them to how you want, using with your file. Also, if you want make your nails appear longer – you can push back your cuticles. If you place your hand in some warm water for a few minutes, it will help soften your skin making it easier for you to do this.

Once you are ready, you should apply a base coat to your nail as this will protect your nails from being stained but also will make applying your nail varnish much smoother. We used the Vitamin Base Coat (1) to do this.

STEP 2

Once your base coat is dry (this shouldn’t take too long), we can start moving on to the more exciting parts – deciding what colour you want your nails to be! For this look, we decided to have the ring finger as the main focus so we painted that nail with the white (3) nail varnish, and the rest with the gorgeous nail varnish in the colour Ring A Ring O’Roses (2). We applied 2 coats as this made sure the nails were covered well.

We recommend you apply two thin coats rather than one thick one as the thicker the coat, the longer it will take to dry.

STEP 3

Once the white nail varnish is dry, it’s time to start creating this look! The first thing we need to do is create the rabbits face on the ring finger. We painted a thin line at a slight curve with the small pointed drawing brush (7) just below halfway up the nail with the nail varnish in the colour Naked Class (4), and then painted up to the line to fill it in.

STEP 4

Next we need to give the rabbit some ears! To do this, we used the dotting tool (9) with the nail varnish in the colour Naked Class (4).

STEP 5

After you have painted on the ears – to add the final touch to them, we need to paint on a thin line going down the middle of them using the dotting tool (9) with the nail varnish in the colour Pink Manicure (5).

STEP 6

Now it’s time to create the cute face! We decided to add the rabbits nose first. To do this, we painted a small bit of top coat on the nail where we wanted the nose to be as this will help the pink gem (10) stick, and then gently placed it on the nail.

STEP 7

Now it’s time to add the final touches to this look! Firstly, we painted on the rabbit’s eyes and a little smile under the nose using the dotting tool (8) with the nail varnish in the colour Blackjack (6).

And that’s how we created this rabbit nail look! It’s a gorgeous look for your nails this Easter and spring! It’s also great if you want a cute animal nail look.

The rabbit is so cute! I always associate easter with seeing A LOT of yellow so it’s really nice to see your first one is a little different. I love the colour of the rabbit too x

Yeah, we thought it would be good to create looks with the pretty pastel colours but not have all of them as the main focus of yellow!
