If you can’t find this design with our other false nail sets in our shop, please contact me and I will happily sort it out for you!
Now lets show you how we created this mummy nail art!
step 1
First of all it is important to make sure your nails are clean and ready to be painted before we start, so we need to do a little bit of preparation. If you have nail polish on already, you will need to take it off with some nail polish remover. After this is done, I usually wash my hands just to ensure my nails are completely clean.
Then it’s time to tidy your nails up a little and to shape them to how you want, using with your file. Also, if you want make your nails appear longer – you can push back your cuticles. If you place your hand in some warm water for a few minutes, it will help soften your skin making it easier for you to do this.
Once you are ready, you should apply a base coat to your nail as this will protect your nails from being stained but also will make applying your nail polish much smoother. We used the Vitamin Base Coat (1) to do this.
step 2
Once your base coat is dry, we can start moving on to the more exciting parts – deciding what colour you want your nails to be! For this look, we decided to have the ring finger as the main focus so we painted this nail with the nail polish in the colour Naked Class (3), and the rest with the gorgeous nail polish in the colour Rapid Ruby (2). We applied 2 coats of the nail polish as this makes sure the nails are covered well.
We recommend you apply two thin coats rather than one thick one as the thicker the coat, the longer it will take to dry.
step 3
Once the grey nail polish is dry, it’s time to start creating this mummy nail art! Firstly, we applied a small amount of the nail polish in the colour Caramel Cupcake (4) to the beauty sponge (7) and gently stamped the sponge onto the ring finger nail.
This added a little bit of extra colour to this nail to help create the mummy look!
step 4
Next we painted an outline for the area where the mummy’s eyes will be. To do this, we painted on an oval shape using the pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail polish in the colour Black (5).
step 5
Once you have created the outline for the space for the mummy’s eyes, it’s time to paint them on! To do this, we used the dotting tool (9) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (6).
step 6
To give the white nail polish some time to dry, we carefully filled in the space around the eyes using the pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail polish in the colour Black (5).
After you have finished doing that, it’s time to add the final touch to the mummy’s eyes! To do this, we used the dotting tool (9) with the nail polish in the colour Black (5).
step 7
Now the real fun begins, it’s time to start painting on the mummy’s wrap! Firstly, we began painting on the mummy’s wrap underneath the eyes. To do this, we used the pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail polish in the colour Black (5).
step 8
As you can see in the photo above, we carried on painting some more of the mummy’s wrap on the index finger nail to continue creating the look!
step 9
To add the final touches to this mummy nail art, we carried on painting on some thin lines in the small gaps to finish creating the mummy's wrap. Don’t worry if it’s not too neat, this look doesn’t need to be!
When you are happy - apply a top coat to finish the look off!
And that’s how we created this mummy nail look! It’s the perfect Halloween nail look for your nails!
