Now lets show you how we created this autumn tree nail art!
step 1
First of all it is important to make sure your nails are clean and ready to be painted before we start, so we need to do a little bit of preparation. If you have nail polish on already, you will need to take it off with some nail polish remover. After this is done, I usually wash my hands just to ensure my nails are completely clean.
Then it’s time to tidy your nails up a little and to shape them to how you want, using with your file. Also, if you want make your nails appear longer – you can push back your cuticles. If you place your hand in some warm water for a few minutes, it will help soften your skin making it easier for you to do this.
Once you are ready, you should apply a base coat to your nail as this will protect your nails from being stained but also will make applying your nail polish much smoother. We used the Vitamin Base Coat (1) to do this.
step 2
Once your base coat is dry, we can start moving on to the more exciting parts – deciding what colour you want your nails to be! For this look, we decided to paint our nails with the nail polish in the colour Gold Coast (2) to begin with. We applied 2 coats of the nail polish as this makes sure the nails are covered well.
We recommend you apply two thin coats rather than one thick one as the thicker the coat, the longer it will take to dry.
step 3
Once the nail polish is dry, it’s time to start creating this autumn tree nail art! The first thing we need to do is paint on the tree trunk and the 2 branches coming out. To do this, we used the pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail polish in the colour Mocha (3).
step 4
Once you are happy with where the trunk and the 2 outer branches are, it’s time to paint on the other 2 branches to finish creating the tree for this autumn tree nail look! To do this, we used the pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail polish in the colour Mocha (3).
step 5
Now the fun begins, it’s time to start adding the colourful leaves! To create the effect we did with the leaves, we used the beauty sponge! We applied a small amount of the nail polish in the colour Rapid Ruby (4) to the beauty sponge (9).
Before using it on the nail, we did dab it a few times on a piece of paper to ensure there wasn’t too much nail varnish that would be applied. Once happy, we gently dabbed the beauty sponge (9) over the branches on the nail.
step 6
Next we need to add some orange leaves! We repeated what we did in the previous step with the beauty sponge (9), but instead used the nail polish in colour No Tan Lines Here (5).
step 7
After adding the orange leaves, it’s time for the yellow leaves! Again, we repeated what we did in step 5 with the beauty sponge (9) but used the nail polish in the colour Electric Yellow (6).
step 8
Now it’s time to add a tiny bit of glitter to the autumn tree. To do this, we again applied a small amount of the glitter (7) nail polish to the beauty sponge (9) and gently dabbed it over the leaves on this tree.
step 9
Now it’s time to add the final touches to this autumn tree nail art! We created a glitter ombre effect on the rest of the nails. To do this, we applied the glitter (7) nail polish to the beauty sponge (9) and gently dabbed it on the nails. You want to make sure you apply the most glitter at the tips of the nail and make it begin to fade away as it moves up the nail.
* To make it easier, you can paint some of the glitter (7) nail polish straight on to the tip of the nail to help build it up.
When you are happy – apply a top coat to finish the look off!
And that’s how we created this autumn tree nail look! It’s a gorgeous nail look for your nails!
