Would you like this design painted on false nails for you?
If you can’t find this design with our other false nail sets in our shop, please contact me and I will happily sort it out for you!
Now lets show you how we created this fox nail art!
step 1
First of all it is important to make sure your nails are clean and ready to be painted before we start, so we need to do a little bit of preparation. If you have nail polish on already, you will need to take it off with some nail polish remover. After this is done, I usually wash my hands just to ensure my nails are completely clean.
Then it’s time to tidy your nails up a little and to shape them to how you want, using with your file. Also, if you want make your nails appear longer – you can push back your cuticles. If you place your hand in some warm water for a few minutes, it will help soften your skin making it easier for you to do this.
Once you are ready, you should apply a base coat to your nail as this will protect your nails from being stained but also will make applying your nail polish much smoother. We used the Vitamin Base Coat (1) to do this.
step 2
Once your base coat is dry, we can start moving on to the more exciting parts – deciding what colour you want your nails to be! For this look, we decided to paint our nails with the nail polish in the colour Caramel Cupcake (2). We applied 2 coats of the nail polish as this makes sure the nails are covered well.
We recommend you apply two thin coats rather than one thick one as the thicker the coat, the longer it will take to dry.
step 3
Once the nail polish is dry, it’s time to start creating this fox nail art! For this look, we decided to have the foxes face on the middle finger so we started by painting a thin line just over halfway up the nail, at a slight curve using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3).
After painting on the top of the foxes head, we painted on the 2 ears using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3)
step 4
Next we made an outline for the white area on the foxes face using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3).
step 5
After creating the outline, we then filled in the area above it using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3).
step 6
Now it’s time to paint on the white section of the face! As you can see in the photo above, we filled in the area that we had previously created the outline for, using the pointed drawing brush (8) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (4).
step 7
To allow some time for the foxes face to dry before we paint on the facial features, we decided to paint on the outline for the foxes tail next. To do this, we using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3).
step 8
After painting on the outline, we then filled in the area using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3).
step 9
Next we painted on the white tail tip using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (4).
step 10
Now it’s time to paint on the facial features to create the cute foxes face. To do this, we used the dotting tool (9) with the nail polish in the colour Black Forest (5).
step 11
Next you need to paint black triangles inside the ears to add the finishing touches to them. To do this, we used the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Black Forest (5).
We also shaped the bottom of the foxes face a little (you can see this in the images showing the final look!) using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3).
step 12
Now it’s time to add the final touches to this fox nail art! We decided to paint on some cute little paws at the bottom of the foxes face using the small pointed drawing brush (7) with the nail polish in the colour Mocha (6).
When you are happy – apply a top coat to finish the look off!
And that’s how we created this fox nail look! It’s a gorgeous nail look for your nails!
