Would you like this design painted on false nails for you?
If you can’t find this design with our other false nail sets in our shop, please contact me and I will happily sort it out for you!
Now lets show you how we created this pumpkin nail art!
step 1
First of all it is important to make sure your nails are clean and ready to be painted before we start, so we need to do a little bit of preparation. If you have nail polish on already, you will need to take it off with some nail polish remover. After this is done, I usually wash my hands just to ensure my nails are completely clean.
Then it’s time to tidy your nails up a little and to shape them to how you want, using with your file. Also, if you want make your nails appear longer – you can push back your cuticles. If you place your hand in some warm water for a few minutes, it will help soften your skin making it easier for you to do this.
Once you are ready, you should apply a base coat to your nail as this will protect your nails from being stained but also will make applying your nail polish much smoother. We used the Vitamin Base Coat (1) to do this.
step 2
Once your base coat is dry (this shouldn’t take too long), we can start moving on to the more exciting parts – deciding what colour you want your nails to be! For this look, we decided to have the ring finger and middle finger as our main focus, so we painted them with the nail polish in the colour French White (2).
step 3
After we painted the ring finger and middle finger with the nail polish in the colour French White (2), it is time to paint the rest of the nails! With this look, we decided on painting the others with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3) to go with our theme. After we finished this, we went over the white nail polish as this makes sure the nails are covered well.
We recommend you apply two thin coats rather than one thick one as the thicker the coat, the longer it will take to dry!

step 4
Once the nail polish is dry, the real fun begins – time to start creating some little pumpkins! We decided on having the little pumpkins on the middle finger and the larger pumpkin on the ring finger. We created these by using the dotting tool (8) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3).
step 5
Now it’s time to move on to creating the pumpkin on the ring finger! We created this by using the small pointed drawing brush (6) with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3).
step 6
After we created the outline, we then painted up to the line on the ring finger with the nail polish in the colour Lux Lobster (3) to finish creating the pumpkin.
step 7
To give the nail polish some time to dry before we add more to the big pumpkin, we’re going to add some detail to the small pumpkins! We decided to add a little stalk to these pumpkins, just to put the final touch on them. We created these by using the dotting tool (7) with the nail polish in the colour Loosey Goosey Dancin (4).
step 8
Now the big pumpkin is dry, we can start adding the final touches to this look. The first thing we did was add a little bit of definition to it by adding the thin brown lines. We painted on 3 lines – one in the middle, one on the right and then one on the left. To do this, we used the small pointed drawing brush (6) with the nail polish in the colour Mocha (4).
step 9
The next bit of detail we decided to add was some leaves. We added these just at the top of the pumpkin by using the dotting tool (7) with the with the nail polish in the colour Loosey Goosey Dancin (4).
step 10
The final touch that is needed to finish this great look is the stalk! We created this by using the dotting tool (7) with the nail polish in the colour Loosey Goosey Dancin (4).
When you are happy – apply a top coat to finish the look off.
And that’s it! It’s quite a simple but really pretty look that you can re-create easily. If you love the autumn time, then this pumpkins nail art is perfect for you. Don’t forget for Halloween too!
