Would you like this design painted on false nails for you?
If you can’t find this design with our other false nail sets in our shop, please contact me and I will happily sort it out for you!
Now lets show you how we created this snowman and snowflake nail art!
Step 1
First of all it is important to make sure your nails are clean and ready to be painted before we start, so we need to do a little bit of preparation. If you have nail polish on already, you will need to take it off with some nail polish remover. After this is done, I usually wash my hands just to ensure my nails are completely clean.
Then it’s time to tidy your nails up a little and to shape them to how you want, using with your file. Also, if you want make your nails appear longer – you can push back your cuticles. If you place your hand in some warm water for a few minutes, it will help soften your skin making it easier for you to do this.
Once you are ready, you should apply a base coat to your nail as this will protect your nails from being stained but also will make applying your nail polish much smoother. We used the Vitamin Base Coat (1) to do this.
Step 2
Once your base coat is dry, we can start moving on to the more exciting parts – deciding what colour you want your nails to be! For this look, we decided to paint our nails with the nail polish in the colour Pillow Talk (2). We applied 2 coats of the nail polish as this makes sure the nails are covered well.
We recommend you apply two thin coats rather than one thick one as the thicker the coat, the longer it will take to dry.

Step 3
Once the nail polish is dry, it’s time to start creating this snowman nail art! The first thing we did is paint 2 dots on the ring finger nail using the dotting tool (9) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (3). We painted one a little bit above the tip of the nail – this one is to mark out how high the body part of the snowman will be. We then painted another one about halfway up the nail – this one is to mark out where the top of the snowman’s head.
Step 4
After you have painted on the markers, it’s time to paint on the outlines! We started by painting on half a circle that reaches the first marker. To do this, we used the pointing drawing brush (10) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (3).
Step 5
Next we painted on the snowman’s head! To do this, we painted on a circle using the pointing drawing brush (10) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (3).
Step 6
Now you need to fill in the outlines using the nail polish in the colour White Out (3).
Step 7
To allow some time for the snowman to dry, we decided to paint on the snowman’s hat next! To begin with, we painted on a line at the top of the snowman’s head. To do this, we used the pointing drawing brush (10) with the nail polish in the colour Black Forest (4).
Step 8
Next we painted on a square to finish creating the hat on the snowman! To do this, we used the pointing drawing brush (10) with the nail polish in the colour Black Forest (4).
Step 9
After you have finished creating the hat, the snowman should be nice and dry so it’s time to start adding the details! We started by painting on the snowman’s scarf just underneath his head – to do this, we used the pointing drawing brush (11) with the nail polish in the colour Double Decker Red (5).
Step 10
Now we need to finish creating the scarf! To do this, we painted on the part of the scarf that hangs down using the pointing drawing brush (11) with the nail polish in the colour Double Decker Red (5).
Step 11
We decided to add a bit of sparkle on the scarf! To do this, we used the pointing drawing brush (11) with the glitter (5) nail polish and painted over the red nail polish.
Step 12
After you have finished creating the scarf for the snowman, we need to add some more important details – the eyes and the buttons! To do this, we used the dotting tool (9) with the nail polish in the colour Black Forest (4).
Step 13
Don’t forget to paint on the snowman’s nose! To do this, we used the dotting tool (9) with the nail polish in the colour Peachella (7).
Step 14
And that’s the snowman done – how cute does it look?! To add some more to this nail look, we decided to paint some snowflakes on the the rest of the nails. To paint on the snowflakes, we began by painting on an ‘X’ shape using the pointed drawing brush (10) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (3).
* You could leave the nail look here if you wanted to, it looks gorgeous like this with just the snowman!

Step 15
Next you want to paint a vertical line that goes directly down the middle of the 'X'. To do this, we used the pointed drawing brush (10) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (3).
Step 16
In order to finish creating the snowflake, you need to paint a horizontal line that goes across the middle of the 'X'. To do this, we used the pointed drawing brush (10) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (3).
Step 17
And that is how easy it is it paint on these snowflakes! Make sure you paint on a few more of these snowflakes across the nail.
Step 18
After we finished painting on the snowflakes, we decided to paint on some small dots over the nail to add that final touch! To do this, we used the dotting tool (9) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (3).
Step 19
Now it’s time to add the final touches to this snowman nail art! We painted on the snowflakes and dots across the rest of the nails, and also painted on small dots around the snowman using the dotting tool (9) with the nail polish in the colour White Out (3). In addition, we painted on the glitter nail polish in the colour Dazzling (8) to add a bit of sparkle to this look. It has such a beautiful colour to it – the photos don’t do this nail polish justice!
When you are happy – apply a top coat to finish the look off.
And that’s how we created this snowman nail look! It’s a gorgeous nail look for your nails at Christmas!
